Daily Candy
More for the girls, but these are my favourite email newsletters. One tit-bit of London (or other city) news - a product launch, shop opening, new service a day. And I just love the tone. Always witty, cute and short. Just how I like my emails!

American English vs. British English on the web
This one's courtesey of Jamie...
Nielsen article on the importance of spelling, terminology, concepts and slang used in international sites e.g. Color vs. Colour, Cart vs. Trolley, American, Football vs. Soccer. Also mentions spoken English in voiceovers.
Bit of a cop-out that in the last para he writes the decision ultimately comes down to identifying the content style that's most appropriate for you and your customers.
Gee, thanks for the insight, Jacob. But worth a gander nonetheless.
